The BILD tabloid assures that Berlin has no intention of handing over infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers and self-propelled howitzers.
Apparently, Germany is not going to transfer large military equipment to Ukraine, except for the already declared one. This was stated by the Russian-language editor of the German tabloid BILD in Telegram, referring to the documents of the Ministry of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The media claim that after the shipment of 18 Leopard 2 tanks, there will be no further deliveries, despite the fact that the Bundeswehr has about 300 such tanks. This also applies to other types of equipment – infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, self-propelled howitzers.
"The German Ministry of Defense does not believe that Ukraine will be able to launch a counteroffensive in the near future to liberate its territories," the publication adds.
The publication writes that during his tour of Europe with a "victory plan", the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi put forward two main demands, including to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The first is permission to use Western weapons against strategic targets in Russia, for which Ukraine needs further supplies of long-range weapons – Storm Shadow from Great Britain, Scalp EG from France and Taurus from Germany. The second is an accelerated procedure for joining NATO, including security guarantees for Russia.
"According to BILD, these demands were received without enthusiasm in Berlin. Scholz did not say anything unambiguous, but he did not give a positive answer either," the journalists said.
